Tadahito Orita (LL.B., Waseda University; LL.M., New York University School of Law) is a partner at Verybest. Registered as an attorney-at-law in Japan in 1989, Tadahito has nearly 30 years of practice experience across a wide range of practice areas, including, amongst others, intellectual property law and general corporate law. At an early stage of his long career, he attended and graduated from NYU, and was awarded an LL.M. in Trade Regulation, which degree focuses on IP-related laws and regulations, and Tadahito was registered as a lawyer in New York in 1995. Since his return to Japan, he has been devoting himself to drafting and reviewing various cross-border agreements in English including product sale and purchase agreements, exclusive or non-exclusive distributorship agreements, IP license agreements, and joint venture dissolution or formation agreements. He has also been active in the field of inbound and outbound M&A transactions and has been developing extensive experience in drafting and reviewing various agreements including share purchase agreements, share subscription agreements, and shareholders' agreements representing both foreign and Japanese entities.
