Shinjin Yoshizaki (LL.B., Ritsumeikan University; LL.M., Harvard Law School) has over 20 years of experience working within the corporate legal department of a universally known Japanese electronics house, and more recently as a lawyer at Verybest. Shinjin has a wealth of experience in researching, negotiating and drafting the instruments necessary for both domestic and multinational joint venture arrangements, including but not limited to agreements for the actual joint venture arrangement, licensing and provision of intellectual property to the joint venture, drafting the articles of incorporation for the joint venture entity, the drafting and negotiation of the joint research and development agreement, and negotiations with both domestic and foreign government entities for these purposes, all in the automobile and battery industries. Furthermore, Shinjin has abundant experience in negotiating and reviewing other ancillary instruments in relation to these multinational transactions such as nondisclosure agreements and purchase and sale agreements. Shinjin also has experience assisting clients with tax related litigation, intellectual property, cross-border transactions and employment law matters.
